White Oak Floating Shelves

Solid white oak floating shelves, made to order in our London, Ontario shop. White oak is our house wood: a tight, straight grain and a warm, natural tone that suits modern kitchens, Scandinavian-style living rooms and everything in between.

Hidden HOVR bracket

Every shelf hangs on a HOVR floating shelf bracket. It's an aluminum bracket that screws into your wall studs and fits into a channel we route into the back of the shelf. Once the shelf is on, the bracket is completely hidden, so all you see is a clean line of solid wood on the wall. The aluminum is stiff, so the shelf stays level instead of sagging over time, even loaded with dishes or books.

Your shelf arrives with the bracket already installed, ready to mount. Take the bracket off, mark your studs on it, drill, level it and screw it into at least two studs. Then tilt the shelf up at about 15°, hook it on and tap down on the top until it clicks in and sits at 90° to the wall. Installed properly into studs, each shelf holds up to 150 lbs per stud.

Cabinet-grade finish

Every finished shelf is sprayed in our shop with a cabinet-grade coating, the same kind used on high-end kitchen cabinets. It cures hard and stands up to water, wiping and everyday use, so it holds up next to a stove, a sink or a coffee machine. Raw shelves come sanded and ready for your own finish.

Use them for open kitchen shelving, a coffee bar, bathroom storage, or books and plants in the living room. Pick your length, depth and finish below. Need a size that isn't listed, or a colour matched to your cabinets? Ask us and we'll quote it.
