Good to know before you order
How do I order?
Floating shelves and countertops in our standard sizes can be ordered right here on the site: pick your wood, size and finish, then check out. For a dining table or anything custom, start with our table form or custom project form and we'll go over the details with you before anything is built.
Can you build a custom size or match my colour?
Yes to both. Almost everything we make is built to order, so custom lengths, depths and shapes are everyday work for us. Send us a sample of your cabinets, floors or trim and we'll match the finish to it.
Can I see the wood before I order?
Yes. You can order wood samples in every species and finish. If you're ordering a dining table, we'll keep sending samples until you find the one.
How does a custom dining table come together?
Tell us about your room and the table you're after. We send wood samples to your door, then draw your table to scale with every dimension and detail. Once you approve the shop drawing, we build it by hand in our shop. Every dining table is backed by our 5-year warranty.
What does shipping and delivery cost?
Floating shelves ship free across Canada and the US. Dining tables are free to pick up, $150 for local delivery within 50 km of London, or $350 anywhere else in Canada. Countertop shipping is calculated at checkout. See Shipping & Delivery for the full details.
How much weight can a floating shelf hold?
Up to 150 lbs per stud when installed properly. Every shelf comes with a hidden HOVR aluminum bracket that screws into at least two wall studs, then the shelf slides on and the bracket disappears. It's stiff, so the shelf stays level instead of sagging over time.
What are my options for a wood countertop?
Standard sizes are 48, 72 or 96 inches long by 25 inches deep, or custom to your space. Choose face grain or edge grain (butcher block), a straight, bevelled or live edge, and a spray finish from our shop or unfinished for your own. We can also add sink cutouts and wire grommets.
What wood do you use, and where is it made?
Solid white oak, black walnut, hard maple, ash and wormy maple, never veneer or MDF. Every piece is built by hand in our shop in London, Ontario.
