The Cullen Table
The Cullen Table is built around a tulip-style wood base — a single pedestal form that opens up the space underneath the table instead of crowding it with legs. That makes it one of the best table styles for banquette seating: no corner posts to bang your knee on, no leg blocking the aisle, just clean room to slide in and out of the booth without asking anyone to move.
If you're building or furnishing a banquette, the base is the detail that makes or breaks it. A standard four-leg table forces you to plan seating around the legs. The Cullen's tulip base tucks in toward the center, so the full footprint of the table stays clear for knees, feet, and easy exit — ideal for kitchen nooks, breakfast banquettes, and restaurant booth seating alike.
Every Cullen Table is built the way we build everything at Workers Wood: solid hardwood, top to base, no veneer, no MDF. White oak is our house standard for its grain and durability, and every top is finished by hand in our London, Ontario shop.
